X International Competition “Kyiv Colouring”

In early June 2022, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the National All-Ukrainian Music Union, a charity competition in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held, which was attended by the Boys ‘ Choir of Lysenko KSML. The jury of the X International Kyiv Colouring Competition included representatives of Ukraine, Germany, Belarus, Belgium, Turkey and Great Britain. 450 participants in eleven nominations were selected for the second round: “Piano”, “Concertmaster”, “Chamber Ensemble”, “Vocal”, “Choral Conducting”, “Wind and Percussion Instruments”, “Orchestra”, “Folk Instruments”, ” String and bowed instruments” and “Musical-theoretical composition: a young musicologist “.

Choir of boys of Kyiv State Music Lyceum named after M.V. Lysenko became the winner of the First Degree in the nomination “Vocal” (Academic Singing). Congratulations to our guys, as well as Maria Koval – artistic director and choir conductor and accompanist – Svitlana Matviienko. We wish you inspiration for further creative achievements!

Second Oleksii Horokhov International Competition-Festival

The other day the Second Oleksii Horokhov International Competition-
Festival ended in Kyiv. Students of the M.Lysenko Kyiv State Music Lyceum
participated in the event and won many awards and special prizes.
Kornii Sheldunov (teacher B. Pivnenko) won the Grand Prix. He also
received a gift from jury member Pedro Carneiro – a violin by master from
Portugal Miguel Mateus.

2nd prize – Mykyta Sukhoviienko (teacher B. Pivnenko)
MIDDLE AGE GROUP
2nd prize – Iryna Borysova (teacher O. Korinets)
2nd prize – Sofiia Kysliak (teacher T. Snizhna)
Diploma – Anna Kisliak (teacher T. Snizhna)
Special prizes were awarded to: Anna Kisliak and Mykyta Sukhoviienko –
certificates for inserting hair into a bow from master Oleksii Korba, Sofiia Kysiyak
and Iryna Borysova – music editions and prizes of musical sympathy from the
Borys Liatoshynskyi Ensemble of Classical Music.
